But what's the point? I never transform into other characters. What you can do is select "Anyone-Load", and "Limited-No Load", so that would give you the ability to select a few characters after you've chosen Shang Tsung who ya wanna morph into, and the game would not stop to load. What does that mean? Well basically, when you morph into a character with Shang Tsung, the game actually stops to load for a few seconds, which is really fucking annoying. Also, what's funny is that there's an option called "Shang Tsung's Morphs". It's part of the options menu, but in a hidden menu that has a question mark on it, and can only be accessed by a code. What's also cool is the hidden One-Button Fatality feature. Kintaro and Motaro are the best choices to use when it comes to the situation where the AI treats you like shit, then you can treat them like shit. The good thing about that is if the AI is pissing you off that much, select a boss character and just fuck em' up. However, the great thing about this game is that you can select boss characters, including Goro, Kintaro, Motaro, and Shao Kahn. So, the first couple of fights are relatively easy, but once you hit that third or fourth opponent, the AI goes into overdrive and becomes fucking bullshit. Previous characters from MKII, including Johnny Cage, Baraka and Raiden make a return. The reason I love this one is because, well, it's basically just Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but you can select every single character (MK1 to UMK3). Now, this was my favorite Mortal Kombat game back in the day, next to Mortal Kombat II. These are the trilogy of events which comprise Shao Kahn's final attempt at taking the Earth. This unholy act gives Shao Kahn the power to step through the dimensional gates and reclaim his queen, thus enabling him to finally seize the Earth. A scheme devised by the dark Emperor to break the rules set forth by the Elder Gods and witness the reincarnation of his former Queen Sindel on the Earthrealm itself. Little did they know that the tournament was merely a diversion. But his victory was short lived as he and his comrades find themselves lured into the Outworld to compete in a second tournament. The warrior monk, Liu Kang, would become the new Champion. The Earth was on the brink of its destruction when a new generation of warriors were victorious in defending its realm. It was for this reason the Elder Gods created the tournament called Mortal Kombat.įor nine generations Mortal Kombat was ruled by Outworld's finest warrior-prince Goro. Knowing that an Outworld invasion was imminent, the wise men appealed to the Elder Gods. They learned that travel between Earth and the new found realm would someday be possible if the conditions were right, the conditions being the unbalancing of the furies - negative and positive forces which keep our unstable universe from collapsing onto itself. It was a world ruled by chaos and a vicious Emperor known as Shao Kahn. Thousands of years ago an order of the wisest men from the far east received visions of the dark realm known as the Outworld. And I now present you a review of the final update to Mortal Kombat 3. It's your boy, Rye "SneakyLizard" Callan.
